What is it?

GovernERP is an Open Source, Apache Licensed, fund accounting system meant to serve larger government and non-profit entities. This site contains the ongoing ramblings of the project founder and is being developed as you read it, so be patient and come back often. The key goals for this project are:

Project Status

In a word -- pre-alpha.

We began serious discussions in early 2008 with prototyping starting in April 2008. As of January 2010 we've done a substantial amount of work in prototyping various infrastructure strategies, have many answers and code to show for it -- that work continues. Work has begun on the core general ledger functionality.

We are looking for Java programmers with a passion for open source and are interested in what we are doing. See the technical description and dependency tabs above for more information.
